Leadership is measured by more than promises. Emily has worked to strengthen GPISD's financial position, improve school safety, plan for the future and protect taxpayers.

Leadership With Accountability

Tough decisions.
Clear priorities.

Serving on the Board of Trustees means balancing the needs of students and employees with the responsibility to protect the long-term health of the district.

Emily has approached that responsibility with a focus on fiscal discipline, transparency, safety and strategic planning — while keeping student success at the center of every decision.

Safer Schools

Safety isn't optional.

GPISD strengthened safety and security measures beyond state requirements, even while districts faced limited state funding for many of those mandates and improvements.

Emily believes students learn best and educators perform best when campuses are safe, secure and prepared.
